L. Marc Cohn
Mr. Cohn is Vice President of Petroleum Capital and Real Estate, LLC and joined the firm in February of 2009. He brings to the company 28 years of experience in real estate development, sales, construction and brokering of commercial and residential mortgages. For the last 14 years, Marc has owned and operated a real estate and mortgage brokering company that has completed transactions in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, Delaware and Florida. Prior to entering the real estate field, Marc worked in private industry, first for a CPA firm, and then for several public companies such as Marriott Corporation and American Management Systems. Marc was a member of the accounting and finance departments for both companies and his responsibilities included supervising the preparation of the annual expense and revenue budgets, cash management and participating the annual audit process. He was also a member of the team that supervised American Management Systems’ initial public offering and after this process was completed, he became Manager of Shareholder Relations. Over the past 10 years, Marc has worked with numerous clients to secure commercial mortgages for gasoline service station and convenience store sites. Through these transactions, Marc has gained substantial experience in all the requirements associated with the buying, selling and financing of gasoline service station and convenience store properties. Marc is also a licensed insurance agent in the state of Florida. Marc graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in accounting. He also attended American University graduate school taking advanced courses in finance.
