John E. Sartory
Mr. Sartory is Managing Director of Petroleum Capital and Real Estate, LLC and is a principal in the organization. John has been involved in the retail petroleum and convenience store industry since 1979 and has close to 30 years of experience in all facets of the industry. Prior to becoming Managing Director of Petroleum Capital and Real Estate, LLC, in 2009, John spent nine years as the Senior Director of PetroConsulting, Inc., where he primarily consulted with clients in the petroleum and convenience store industry on mergers and acquisitions, private equity placement, real estate/business valuation and marketing, sale leaseback financing and asset based lending. John's unique and diverse background in the industry also includes more than 13 years as co-owner of a small network of Texaco branded service stations and convenience stores and over 8 years as an employee of Shell Oil Company. While working for the Shell Oil Company in the 1980s, John held numerous retail marketing positions in several northeastern and mid-Atlantic districts. John graduated with honors (Magna Cum Laude) from the State University of New York, College at Geneseo, with a degree in Management Science. He also attended New York University, Graduate School of Business Administration, Stern School of Business, with a concentration in finance.
